About The Researcher
My name is Jessie, and I’m a PhD Candidate in Nursing Research at the University of Technology Sydney.
My doctoral research explores the workplace experiences of neurodivergent nurses in the Australian public healthcare system.
Who Am I?
I’m a neurodivergent nurse – and that’s a big part of why I chose this topic. I’m also a volunteer, an educator, and I have two very spoilt cats.
My Research Philosophy
Neurodivergent people should be leading and shaping the research that affects their lives. I am committed to inclusive, strengths-based research that values lived experience as knowledge.
Why This Research Matters
Neurodivergent nurses bring unique skills and perspectives to the profession, and inclusive workplaces improve outcomes for staff, patients, and healthcare organisations.
